__CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSG.SRT.C.6__Understand that by similarity, side ratios in right triangles are properties of the angles in the triangle, leading to definitions of trigonometric ratios for acute angles.

__CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSG.SRT.C.7__Explain and use the relationship between the sine and cosine of complementary angles.

__CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSF.TF.A.1__Understand radian measure of an angle as the length of the arc on the unit circle subtended by the angle.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSF.TF.A.2 Explain how the unit circle in the coordinate plane enables the extension of trigonometric functions to all real numbers, interpreted as radian measures of angles traversed counterclockwise around the unit circle.

## Unit Goals and Objectives

__Goal 1:__Students will be able to solve triangles using trigonometric ratios.

- Objective 1:Students will be able to solve for triangles by identifying given measures and using trigonometric ratios to find missing measures.
- Objective 2:Students will be able to solve a real-world scenario by identifying and drawing triangles and solving using trigonometric ratios.

__Goal 2:__Students will be able to define radian measure and convert angle measures between degrees and radians.

- Objective 1: When given various measures, the students will be
able to demonstrate how to compute radians and degrees given a graphing
calculator with 90% success.
- Objective 2:When given various degree measures, the students will be able to successfully compute
and use degree and radian measures to relate to real-world scenarios.

__Goal 3:__Students will be able to define the trigonometric functions in terms of the unit circle.

- Objective 1: After discovering the unit circle, the students will be able to identify at least 3 patterns, relate it to at least 2 previous topics, and successfully identify how it is formed.
