Differentiation
Here you will find a chart on how I plan on using differentiation for each of my lessons.
Differentiation for Sandra
Sandra is a fictional character in my Precalculus class that struggles in math and science. Some of Sandra’s strengths include memorizing facts, working with peers in groups, and technology skills. In my unit plan, I have created many lessons and assessments that will cater to Sandra’s strengths. Most of my lessons incorporate working in groups or pairs. Sandra will be able to communicate ideas in small group discussions. If she is struggling with a concept, many guided questions have been provided and she can rely on the help of her group members. I have also incorporated many uses of technology into my lesson plans. In my cooperative learning lesson plan, Sandra and her peers will use iPads to take a self-check quiz using a unit circle manipulative. In this lesson, Sandra will have to choice to be able to use her technology skills and use an iPad to scan pictures and upload them to the class’s website. I have included several graphic organizers and guided notes throughout my lessons that will help Sandra to organize material.
